Genes are segments of DNA that contains the code for thousands of proteins that our body needs to manufacture. There are variations among people with regard to the content of these segments which make each one of us unique, with the exception of identical twins.
We have four types of DNA testing at our prestigious clinic. DNA diet test, DNA health test, DNA skin test, DNA sports test.
DNA DIET TEST
This test identifies the unique DNA sequence in some of your genes, which reflects your response to diet and exercise. Having identified the presence of this unique sequence, we are able to assess particular areas of intervention for improved weight management related to your specific genes and requirements.
Based on the analysis of one’s genes, our expert Doctors can recommend you with the most suitable diet / exercise plan for you to manage weight.
DNA Health Test
The health variant of DNA test would identify certain sequences which correlate with an individual’s risk of developing certain chronic disease or altered metabolic processes.
The analysis report will underline different biological areas according to prioriy - a low priority, a moderate or a high priority. It will reflect lipid metabolism, detoxification, inflammation, insulin sensitivity and others. On detailed analysis of the report, our expert Doctors can guide you to improve your general and help you to tackle issues before they become chronic.
DNA Skin Test
DNA skin test analyses variations on 18 genes associated with the following key areas involved in skin health and ageing:
- Collagen formation
- Protection from sun and UV exposure
- Protection from oxidative stress
Based on the results from the DNA skin test, we can provide expert advice on personalized lifestyle, nutrition, and cosmeceutical recommendations for improved skin care and to decrease visible signs of aging.
DNA Sport Test
The DNA sport test looks at various different biological areas that relate to sporting and athletic performance. This will help personalize your exercise program in order to gain as much as possible from your training sessions.
The analysis will yield 2 parts:
1.Will discuss injury and recovery, injury susceptibility, the inflammatory response, and oxidative stress
2.Will discuss performance, blood flow and respiration, energy during exercise, fuel during exercise, and muscle and bone composition.
The overall results of this genetic test will enable you to focus your training on the type of exercises that are going to give the best outcomes for your hard work, whether that is aerobic or power / weight training.
